Applied patches from Andreas Oberritter <obi@tuxbox.org>:

Call libtoolize from autogen.sh since newer versions of automake don't
do this for us any longer.
Use AM_CFLAGS instead of CFLAGS.

Removed the cflags_set hack from configure.in since it's not needed any
longer.
