[directfb-dev] directfb and java

I was looking at kawt in the cvs tree and the readme says something about it
not being maintained because of a new "from scratch" initiative. I didn't
see anything else in the tree that looked like it was this new
implementation. Could anyone shed some light on the current state of
directfb and java?
